Due to a scheduling conflict, the Jr. High game vs Barton tomorrow has been cancelled. We will attempt to fill in this missed game later in the season if possible.

Due to the potential dangerous weather, we have decided to postpone the Battle of ArCo. We have rescheduled our game vs Stuttgart for Friday, September 18 at 7:00. Please hold on to your tickets. We will not resale tickets. Sorry for any inconvenience, we just have to put the safety of the student athletes first.

DeWitt School District will dismiss at 1:00pm today at our elementary schools and at 1:15pm at DMS and DHS due to the possibility of damaging winds and heavy rain during our normal dismissal times.

Starting tomorrow, Tuesday August 25, 2020, 4th and 5th grade car riders will be dropped off and picked up in the back car line. An updated map is being posted as well to show the newest updates.

Parents, we are excited for the start of the new school year. Please remember to screen your child prior to sending them to school each day by using the following questions: 1. Have you had a fever of 100.4 in the last 2 days? 2. Have you had a cough, difficulty breathing, sore throat, or loss of taste or smell? 3. Have you been in contact with a person known to be infected with COVID-19 within the previous 14 days? We look forward to seeing our students back on campus Monday morning!

DeWitt School District Administration, Faculty and Staff would like to thank First United Methodist Church DeWitt, Mission Meathead for a delicious back to school lunch today!

The SR Dragons will scrimmage Barton tomorrow night at 7:00. Governor Hutchinson and the ADH has directed school districts to comply with the following directives: All spectators must maintain 6-feet physical distance from other spectators at all times. Single-household family groups may sit together but 6-feet physical distance must be maintained from all other groups or individuals. (Have allotted 4 per family) Bleacher seating will be restricted such that every other row is unoccupied. (Marked with signage) Face coverings are required for all persons present at all times, except for children under the age of 10 years old. Areas where lines may form (entrances, exits, concessions, restrooms, etc.) shall be marked with cones, “X’s”, or other visual cues to promote physical distance of 6-feet. Spectators should not enter if: They have fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, or loss of taste or smell. They have had known exposure to someone with Covid-19 in the past 14 days. Spectators may wish to refrain from entering if: They are 65 years of age or older. They have underlying health conditions including high blood pressure, chronic lung disease, diabetes, severe obesity, asthma, or weakened immunity. Due to social distancing requirements, seating capacity will be limited. Reserved tickets will be available for immediate family members of student athletes for the scrimmage game. Excess tickets will be sold at the gate but we cannot guarantee entry. It is imperative that everyone comply with the Governor’s directive so that our students can participate in extracurricular activities this school year. Our student-athletes are excited about this school year so please do your part!
