We are aware of a social media screenshot circulating that references potential school violence. The DeWitt Police Department and the Arkansas County Sheriff's Office have thoroughly investigated the matter and have determined that this originated in Hackett, Arkansas, and there is no direct threat to the DeWitt School District at this time.
We take all concerns seriously and are committed to ensuring the safety of our students and staff. If you have any questions or need further information, please contact the DeWitt Police Department or the DeWitt School District Administration Office.

HoCo 25 shirt orders are due TOMORROW, Tuesday, August 26 at NOON! Shirts are $20 each. Forms can be picked up in the DHS office or printed off from the DeWitt School District Facebook post!

If you purchased Reserved Seats for Dragon Football this year and have not picked up your tickets, they are ready for pick up in the DMS Office!!!! GO DRAGONS!

The Junior High football game scheduled for 8/28 against Carlisle has been CANCELLED. The Junior High football team will now play the Hamburg Lions on Thursday, 9/4 at 6:00 PM! GO DRAGONS!

Special Called August Board Meeting Update!

In accordance with the Arkansas Activities Association Sportsmanship manual the DeWitt School District will adhere to the following sportsmanship rule:

Parents and spectators are required to show positive sportsmanship during athletic events towards coaches, athletes, visiting athletes, visiting coaches, all other spectators, officials, administrators, and all others in attendance at games.

If a parent or spectator is asked to leave an event due to poor sportsmanship behavior, the parents or spectator will not be permitted to be in attendance at the next game (home or away). A second ejection within the same sports season will result in the inability to attend athletic events for the remainder of the entire season.

If you purchased Reserved Seats for the 2025 Dragon Football Season, they are ready for pick up in the DeWitt Middle School Office! If you can't make it by the office today to pick them up, they will also be available at Meet the Dragons tonight!!

We are aware of water issues that occurred earlier today, causing our schools to experience low water pressure. These issues have been resolved and we are back to business as usual!
