2024 - 2025 School Choice Applications are open now and due May 1, 2024!

At the DeWitt School District, “all means all,” and your student could be part of our long history of excellence, even if you don't live in the district. With the Public School Choice Act, students in other districts may be eligible to enroll in the DeWitt School District.

The DeWitt School District has just over 1,100 students and 3 campuses. DeWitt Elementary School has two preschool classrooms, and students in grades K-5. DeWitt Middle School has grades 6-8, and DeWitt High School has grades 9-12.

The district strives to create opportunities for academic and personal success to ensure all of our students are ready for the future. Leading our area in test scores, along with our first-class faculty and facilities, it is easy to see why new families join our district each year.

The opportunities at the DeWitt School District are endless. Our district is 1 to 1, so all of our students are assigned a Chromebook (grades 3-12), or have access to classroom sets of iPads (grades K-2). Students in all grade levels are challenged daily with exciting curriculum and real-world experiences. DeWitt Elementary and DeWitt Middle School have robust arts and STEM classes that extend the traditional classroom experiences.

DeWitt School District has many opportunities for students to explore their interests once they reach high school. We have many different Career and Technical pathways available to our students which include Agriculture Mechanics, General Welding, Advanced Manufacturing, Mild Steel Welding, Inert Welding, Law, Horticulture, Medical Professions, EAST, Family and Consumer Sciences, Jobs for America's Graduates (JAG), Survey of Business, Accounting, Administrative Support, and Driver’s Education.

Students also have the opportunity to take college courses while still in high school through a partnership with Phillips Community College. Students can earn up to 60 transferable College credit hours, which is equivalent to a General Education Associate’s Degree, the majority of which occurs during their school day at DeWitt High School.

Some of the electives available to DeWitt High School students include Robotics, Multiple Foreign Language offerings, Lifespan Development, Human Relations, Financial Planning, Yearbook, Choir, Computer Programming, Art, and Band.

Students can also participate in a dynamic athletic program. DeWitt athletes compete in the 4A/3A Conference. DeWitt has 14 competitive fields of sport. It's a tradition for our athletic teams to perform at a high level and the Dragons have a fan base that is unmatched!

Our students also excel in academics. Last year, our students earned over half a million dollars in scholarships. On top of University scholarships and the Arkansas Academic Challenge, students at DeWitt High School have the opportunity to apply for and receive various scholarships from local community members and organizations. We also have many students who go on to trade or vocational schools to further their education before entering the workforce.
