new mask policy

Modifications to DSD Mask Requirement

Each week the DeWitt School Administration will review the Arkansas Center for Health Improvement (ACHI) website, when available, to determine the number of COVID-19 infections within the school district boundaries.  Link to ACHI Map https://achi.net/covid19/

When the number of new, known infections for a 14-day period per 10,000 residents is 29 or below (yellow level or below) consecutively for two weeks the wearing of face coverings while present in a school district building shall be optional but recommended.

When the number of new, known infections for a 14- day period per 10,000 residents is 30 or above (orange level or above) consecutively for two weeks the wearing of face coverings while present in a school district building shall be required.

If at any point in the school year the amount of student quarantines within the school district population reaches 10%, the wearing of face coverings while present at school shall be required for at least two consecutive weeks and shall supersede any other criteria.  When student quarantine levels return to below 5% face coverings become optional but highly encouraged.

At all extracurricular activities face coverings shall be optional but highly encouraged.
