How did the first couple of days go? Well, GREAT! We are jumping into learning and having fun while we do it!
Yesterday in Mrs. Tanner’s 9th grade Physical Science class, students used Hexagonal Thinking in an “about me” activity. They had to make connections and communicate the justification for the connections between students in their class.

DHS car riders can be dropped off in the front each morning and picked up in the front in the afternoon as well. We ask that you get here right at time to dismiss, 3:22, so that you won't block the main entryway in the event that someone needs in or out of the school.
Students, if you drive, remember you need a parking pass and must be a legally licensed driver. We ask that you enter and exit using 16th Street. Students who have PCC will be shuttled by bus, and will not drive over. Student athletes need to walk to athletics and practices from the school instead of moving their vehicle. This will help us avoid accidents with buses and other vehicles.
Students who drive and park on any DeWitt District Property and are not a licensed driver are subject to student conduct expectations as outlined in the District Handbook. They, and their guardians, acknowledge that they would be liable for any accident that may occur and are liable for any traffic violations and consequences of such violations.

JAG, Jobs for Arkansas Graduates, held their annual Arkansas Awards Luncheon today at the DoubleTree Hotel in Little Rock.
DHS JAG Specialist Teacher Julie Sebree was honored with awards for an outstanding program and for being a high performer in data entry integrity.
Mr. Dupuy, Mrs. Mitchell, and Henry Sebree joined Mrs. Sebree at the luncheon today, and they were so excited to see her and our DHS JAG Program honored.
