GO DRAGONS!! FEAR THE FLAME!

Yesterday, DeWitt High School students in several classes had the opportunity to tour the Be Pro, Be Proud truck. The truck travels around the country to expose students to career pathways that are in high demand. Students were able to go through stations on the truck that featured virtual simulations of career opportunities like electrical lineman, welding, train operation, 3-D printing, CDL driving, robotic arms, excavation, and much more!
We are thankful for our partnership with the Be Pro, Be Proud campaign and loved getting to see our students exposed and engaged with opportunities that will extend long after their time in high school. A special thank you to our DHS MVP’s (12th grade volunteers) who ran each of the simulators all day long and assisted with Be Pro, Be Proud staff!

Students in Mrs. Tanner’s Physical Science Class students did an activity where they used the processes scientists and engineers use to investigate problems and design solutions. They made paper propellers and observed their flight behaviors and investigated various factors affecting flight. They were then challenged to design a propeller with the longest time of descent.
