U.S. Constitution at Crystal Bridges
In a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, a rare, original print of the US Constitution (one of only eleven known in the world) is going on view at Crystal Bridges in We the People: The Radical Notion of Democracy. In this free exhibition, the document is displayed in conversation with works of art by influential historical and contemporary artists that provide diverse American perspectives on the nation’s founding principles. Resources for districts and families are featured on the U.S. Constitution Crystal Bridges website.

We the People: The Radical Notion of Democracy will be on view from July 2, 2022 to January 2, 2023, at Crystal Bridges Museum Of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Students in Mrs. Holly Erwin’s History class this week were assigned a national park in Arkansas to research. They were to prepare a presentation to present to their classmates to encourage us to visit our local state parks.
Dragon Football begins TONIGHT as the Junior Dragons take on the Barton Bears at Dragon Stadium! Kick off is at 7PM! Admission is $5 per person. Go Dragons Go!

Reminder that all 6th grade students should have a Tdap Booster & 7th grade students need a MCV4 vaccination in order to meet our state compliance.
Please make an appointment to have your child's vaccines updated and share the shot record with the school.

What a great 1st Day of School!! Thank you parents, students, and staff for making it so successful.
Each DMS student should have came home with the annual beginning of the year paperwork. Please review and edit or fill out the forms and return them to us by FRIDAY, AUGUST 19. Your student will give these forms to their 1st period teacher.
Today was a great day for learning!!! Let's get up tomorrow and do it all again!!
Here are a few tips to help you drop off and pick up your child with ease on the 1st day back to school. Remember, this year students will be outside in the morning. All car riders that are dropped off should be let out in front of DMS ONLY. 6th and 7th graders will go to the pavilion area on the east side of DMS near the football field and 8th graders will go to the picnic area on the west side near DHS. Please encourage them to stay on the sidewalk as they go to their morning spot. All students will come in at 7:55 to begin their day.
Breakfast is in the lunchroom this year, and will begin at 7:45. Duty teachers will announce when it is time for DMS students to go.
