Reminder: Lots going on here at DMS today, Thursday, September 15. Pep Rally at 12:35 in the DHS Gym, Early Dismissal 2:10 for car riders & 2:15 for bus riders, & 7th grade & JR football vs. Helena here at Dragon Stadium at 5:30 & 7:00 p.m. respectively.

Teachers are lifetime learners. Today, some of our teachers worked with our PLC consultant, Aisha Thomas, on how to create assessments for our students based upon the essential skills we ensure our kids will know. It was so fun to see our “lightbulbs” come on as we learned new strategies to keep our focus on students and their learning.

Update on our friend, Daniel Gordon:
After waiting over a year in the hospital, Daniel was able to have his heart transplant last month and is scheduled to come home. His family wanted anyone who wants to welcome him home to know. Please see the picture below about the details of a welcome home parade.

Don’t forget this upcoming Thursday, Sept. 15:
-Pep Rally @12:35 in the DHS Gym
-Early Dismissal: 2:10 car riders & 2:15 bus riders

U.S. Constitution at Crystal Bridges
In a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, a rare, original print of the US Constitution (one of only eleven known in the world) is going on view at Crystal Bridges in We the People: The Radical Notion of Democracy. In this free exhibition, the document is displayed in conversation with works of art by influential historical and contemporary artists that provide diverse American perspectives on the nation’s founding principles. Resources for districts and families are featured on the U.S. Constitution Crystal Bridges website.
