We will hold Parent Teacher Conferences on Tuesday, March 2. They will be from 3:30-6:00 via phone. If you indicated you wished to speak to your children's teachers, someone will be calling you. STUDENTS WILL NOT BE DISMISSED EARLY THAT DAY.

Wonderful news from our DMS FBLA Sponsor, Mrs. Jill Shook: I’m super excited to share our FBLA District III Middle Level winners for this years spring conference. With it being a not so normal year, I only had 9 students sign up to compete. Out of those 9, 7 of them placed! DMS Students: We hope that you are all doing well & staying warm. Please remember that today & tomorrow are virtual school days. The work that you submit will be counted for your attendance & grades in your classes. Teachers have let many assignments open for several days to allow you to complete them, but be sure they are submitted so that you can get credit for your work. If you have any issues at all, message your teachers via email or Schoology. Someone will respond to you during school hours & try to help you. Please be safe & stay warm! DMS School Family: A scheduled text just came out to you all, but due to the bad weather & the decision to have a virtual day tomorrow, Parent-Teacher Conferences WILL NOT BE tomorrow. They will be rescheduled, and someone from the school will contact you at a later date if you requested a conference. Reminder: Next Thursday, Feb. 11 is a very busy day for our DMS students & faculty. Here's the information you need to know: 8:00-11:00: We will accept Valentine deliveries from local businesses. Make sure your child's name & grade is on the delivery, Students will receive deliveries as they leave for the day. 1:10. EARLY DISMISSAL FOR 6TH & 7TH GRADE CAR RIDERS IN FRONT 1:15. EARLY DISMISSAL FOR 8TH GRADE CAR RIDERS AND BUS RIDERS 2:00-6:00 p.m.: Parent Teacher Conferences will be conducted via phone. Your student will get their progress report sent home Monday, February 8. Please return the attached note with them to school the next day, February 9, so that we know how and when would be best for us to contact you. Nurse LeighAnn will begin Body Mass Index Screenings on DMS 6th & 8th graders. If you do not want your child to participate, an opt out form can be picked up in the nurse's office. Contact DMS if you have questions, 870-946-3708.

February 11 is Parent-Teacher Conferences. Students will attend school this day, but DMS students will dismiss 2 hours EARLY at 1:15 p.m. Conferences will be held via phone or Google Meet. Students will bring their progress report home on Monday, Feb. 8. There will be a note that parents need to sign and return by FEBRUARY 9 letting us know how you'd like to be contacted for your conference.

Valentine Deliveries will be accepted at DMS on February 11 from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Please make sure that your delivery includes the child's name and grade on the card. If you are delivering items personally, you will drop them off in the office. Students will receive their gifts/deliveries before the end of the school day. Remember, this is also Parent-Teacher Conference Day. DMS Students will be dismissed at 1:15. Conferences will be virtual/phone this time, and will be from 2-6 p.m.

DMS Students: If you want to participate in 7th grade & JR High Sports or try out for cheerleader, you must have a physical on file. Physical Forms will be given to student athletes by their coaches. Anyone else who is wanting to participate in sports, can come by and get a form from Mrs. Barnett's Office. Parents should complete the health history side of the form, and let their student return to Nurse LeighAnn. Physicals will begin February 1, and will be done here at the school free of charge.

The basketball games scheduled tonight vs. Helena and the games scheduled for Friday @ CAC have both been CANCELLED.

Parents of Basketball Players, see the below message from McCrory. Notice that you must purchase your ticket online to attend. No vouchers/tickets will be given beforehand. DeWitt Parents, Here is the link to purchase tickets for the game in McCrory on January 11, 2021 at 5:00pm. Because of the limited seating available and the increased opportunity for COVID-19 transmission within an enclosed environment, players who wish to remain in the gymnasium will have to sit in their teams designated area. DMS Students: School resumes tomorrow for in-person and virtual learners. If you are an on-site learner, please remember to charge your Chromebooks tonight and bring them to school. Don't forget to wear your mask! See you soon!

Today wraps up our 1st Semester. Thank you DMS students, parents & staff for a successful semester. We dismiss today at 1:15 p.m. School will be out for Christmas Break. Students & Staff will report back for learning on January 4, 2021. We wish you all a safe & restful holiday season. Merry Christmas!
