DMS Red Ribbon Week started off to a good start. Day 1 was "Wear Your Red Day." Many of our students showed their pride to being drug free.

Sharing a little late, but our DMS FBLA students were able to travel to the Fall Conference this year. They learned a lot about all types of skills to help them be successful in the future. One of the highlights of the trip was meeting Miss Arkansas, Whitney White.
Our 6th & 7th Grade students had a fun time taking part of the Hunter's Ed Classes this week. A special thanks to Coach Gunnell & Mrs. Linda Gunnell for organizing the event.

Reminder to DMS Students & Parents:
Parent Teacher Conferences are tomorrow, 10-26-21 from 2-7 p.m.
Students will dismiss 2 hours early. (1:10 & 1:15)
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be Tuesday, October 26 from 2-7 p.m. DMS Students will be dismissed 2 hours early that day (1:10 & 1:15).
Please mark your calendars and plan to attend. DMS report cards will be given out at that time, and parents can visit with their student's teachers.

REMINDER! If you plan to attend the 7th grade or JR Dragon games tonight in DUMAS, you will need to purchase tickets using this link. NO CASH will be taken at the gate.
Daniel Gordon, an 8th grader at DMS, has been hospitalized since the beginning of the school year and is awaiting a heart transplant.
His 8th grade classmates (Class of 2026) designed a t-shirt to help Daniel's family pay for expenses during their stay in the hospital. The entire 8th grade submitted art work and voted on their favorite design.
The link below will take you to Custom Ink, where you can order a shirt to support Daniel in his journey for a new heart. All funds raised will be presented to the Gordon Family directly from the Class of 2026.
All orders will go through the website, and you will pay there. Shirts will be mailed to you. No money or orders are being taken in-person. Questions about this can be sent to Custom Ink or a Parent of the C/O 2026.

For their October Service Project, Beta Club is taking up canned/non-perishable goods for our local food banks.
Please see the picture for a list of ideas of food that would be great to send.
We will begin collecting on October 19.
PEP RALLY:
Thursday, October 14 will be our last pep rally this season. It will be during 6th period, 12:52-1:37, on the football field.

DMS Flu Clinic Forms have went home with students today. Please fill out and return to the school nurse by October 13.
The flu clinic will be October 20th at the school. Students will only receive their shot if their form is returned.
