Students at DHS have been busy this Dragon period cycle earning community service-learning hours. Working through the CTE and Art departments, students have made jump ropes for Operation Christmas Child, knitted squares for an organization that creates blankets for people experiencing homelessness, creating activity pages for Arkansas Children’s Hospital, making fall door hangers for the residents of Creastpark Nursing Home, and painting seasonal art for the halls of DeWitt Nursing home. Our students love being able to serve our community. If you have a project, we can assist. Just contact DeWitt High School and leave a message for the CTE department.

The DHS Cheerleaders will be hosting a pregame Pep Rally at the DMS Pavilion at 6:30PM and then leading us into Dragon Stadium! Attention Senior Parents! Jostens came to DHS today and passed out graduation order packets. They will be back next Tuesday, 10.24, to pick orders up.
GearUp came to speak with the Class of 2024 today during Dragon Period. They spoke to the students about what GearUp is and how the program was designed to help students in Arkansas. This program can give support to students transitioning from high school into secondary education. They spoke to our students about the importance of asking for help and support, planning for their futures early enough to make achievements an attainable goal, and how to help them adequately prepare to move on from high school. Thank you, GearUp for coming to speak with our seniors today!
