DES Lunch Menu Change for Friday March 5th, 2021:
Hamburger, lettuce, tomato, pickles, chips, baked beans, pears, and milk will be served this Friday instead of the pork rib sandwich.
The DeWitt School District ABC Preschool Program is accepting applications for children who will be 3 or 4 years old by August 1st, 2021. These applications are for the 2021-2022 school year. Please contact Carrie Ashcraft, ABC Coordinator at 870-946-4651 or carrieashcraft@dewittdragons.net for more information and an application. Applications will be accepted until all positions have been filled.
Kindergarten Registration will be held on Tuesday, March 16th, 2021 from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm at DeWitt Elementary School. A mask will be required to enter the building.
You will need to bring the following items for the child/children you are registering:
official birth certificate
current immunization/shot records
official copy of child's social security number
early periodic screening, diagnosis, and treatment (EPSDT)/Well Child Check-up
proof of residence
Children entering Kindergarten must be five (5) years old on or before August 1, 2021
Parent Teacher Conferences will be held Tuesday, March 2nd, from 3:30 pm - 6:00 pm. This WILL NOT be an early release day and conferences WILL still be held by phone. If you have any questions, contact the DES office at 870-946-4651.
The Lunch Menu for DES for the rest of this week and next Monday will be as follows:
Wednesday February 24th: Pizza stick, cheddar sun chips, and fruit.
Thursday February 25th: Beef vegetable soup, grilled cheese sandwich, sliced carrots, and fruit
Friday February 26th: BBQ meatballs, roll, mashed potatoes, broccoli with cheese, and fruit
Monday March 1st: Ham and cheese sliders, baked beans, and fruit.
The DeWitt School District will resume on-site learning, Tuesday, February 23, 2021.

Valentines Deliveries & Parties will be held tomorrow at DES.
K-2nd - Bring back your completed packets and documentation of items completed from the choice boards.
3rd - 5th - Don’t forget to charge your chrome books this evening and bring them back to school tomorrow.
The DeWitt School District will continue virtual learning on Monday due to hazardous road conditions. Campuses will remain closed. Hopefully we can resume on-site learning on Tuesday.
K-2 Students will complete two more items from their grade level choice board.
3rd-5th grade students will log onto their chrome books for their daily lessons.

DES 3rd - 5th grade students will continue to log into Schoology on Thursday February 18th and Friday February 19th to complete their virtual school assignments.
Kindergarten - 2nd AMI Work Instructions:
(1)On your phone/tablet/computer go to www.dewittdragons.net
(2)Click on SCHOOLS at the top of the page.
(3) Click on DeWitt Elementary in the drop down section.
(4) In the top right, click on AMI
Once you click on AMI it will bring you to the K-2 choice boards.
Students will choose a minimum of two activities each day from the choice board for their grade level on Thursday and Friday. Record the activities chosen on a separate piece of paper to be returned to school with your student when classes resume.
The DeWitt School District will remain closed for on-site learning for the remainder of the week. Students in grades 3-12 will continue virtual assignments posted in Schoology. Assignments for students in grades K-2 have been posted on the DES & GES websites.

The DeWitt School District will continue virtual learning on Tuesday and Wednesday. With the possibility of another round of winter weather Wednesday, there is a good possibility that we will be virtual for the remainder of the week. We will monitor the weather and send more information out Wednesday.
Valentines Parties at DES have been rescheduled for the day we return to school ❤️.
Just a reminder that DES students will have virtual learning days on February 12th and February 15th. Students will complete their work from home.
Parent Teacher conferences will be postponed because of the weather. If you have requested a conference, teachers will contact you at a later date. More information will be given as made available.
Attention: The DeWitt School District will be closed on Thursday, February 11, 2021. This will be a virtual day for students. Assignments have been sent home with students.

DES & Funcessories, Too are partnering together for a DES Shirt this spring. Shirts will be $12 each plus tax. All orders MUST BE PLACED AT FUNCESSORIES. Orders will not be taken at school. All orders must be paid for when the order is placed. All orders are due by February 20th.
DES Students in 1st - 5th Grade will bring home their progress reports, parent letters about independent reading levels, and information about parent teacher conferences today. Make sure to check their backpacks and homework folders for this information.
