Congratulations to our DES Battle of The Books team, they won 1st Place at the Battle of The Books Competition at the Southeast Co-Op!

Happy School Counselors Week to our very own, Mrs. Alesha Jones! We are blessed with the best! You can always find her helping and encouraging our students at DES. Outside of school, you can find her encouraging her boys on the ballfield and wherever else her family time takes her. Thank you for all you do for DES!

Kindness Week Volunteers Needed

During Kindness Week this year, we want our actions to speak louder than our outfits. Instead of dress up days, this year we will be collecting food items for the DES Backpack Program. This isn't a competition, but a way to show kindness to others in our school. Helping our students have a full belly is a great way to spread kindness at DES.
Students may bring their items anytime during kindness week and give them to their homeroom teacher to be added to the other items collected during kindness week.
If you have any questions, contact Mrs. Alesha Jones at DES.

Don't forget, tomorrow February 7th, 2024, is Class Picture Day! Forms were sent home with students last week. If you have any questions, contact the DES Office at 870-946-4651.

Car Rider Tags at DeWitt Elementary:
We know that after a long break sometimes things get moved or go missing. If you have misplaced your students car rider window tag, please let your students classroom teacher know and we will get another one sent home ASAP.
On days when it is raining, it is very important that your car rider tag is displayed prominently in the front window. This helps us get all students into the correct vehicle in a timely manner and keeps the line from backing up and causing traffic issues at the schools.
As always, if you have any questions, call the DES Office at 870-946-4651
