Pre-K Parents are coming in and out of the building at the end of the day while K-3 students are being picked up as car riders. Please watch for people crossing in both crosswalks. Thank you for your consideration.

Girl Scout interest meeting, tonight at FBC DeWitt.

Elementary artists are now showcasing a new exhibit in the hallways of their school featuring many DeWitt businesses and landmarks.
Students studied photographs of the architecture before drawing, focusing on the lines and shapes they could see. Then students sketched the buildings before making a more detailed drawing. Finally, the students were able to use colored pencils and watercolor paints to complete their work. All grade levels participated in this project, with each class working on a different location.
Art teacher Joli Holzhauer said, “Not only were we able to practice using some of the basic elements of art to draw these buildings, but students were also introduced to architectural design. My hope is that the artists will more closely look at what’s around them. Many were encouraged to go home, sit in their front yards and draw their own houses. Our environment is important, and I wanted this project to highlight a sense of community and school partnership.”
