MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 7TH FOOTBALL PRACTICE TIMES:
7th Grade- 12:30
JR High- 2:00

DMS Virtual Learners:
For some reason, when schedules for some of our DA kids were printed, many of the activity classes didn't show up on their schedules. We can see them on our end, but they didn't know they had these classes.
The issue has been mainly with 7th graders who are scheduled to PE, ART, and Keyboarding.
If you have a class that says 1st Semester (1st and 2nd 9 weeks), you are expected to work in that class. Some classes might be there on your home dashboard, but are 2nd Semester Classes. It should say that, and won't have any work in it.
If you need us to send you a master schedule, let us know. 870-946-3708.

DMS Virtual Learners:
You can come to DMS each day from 9:50-10:35 to check out library books if you need to. You may also view virtual books. See below for more information.

Dragon Academy Virtual Students, Here are some reminders that you might find helpful as you navigate through your school work:
1. Always use your Chromebook and log in by going to dewitt.schoology.com. You'll use your Dragon gmail and password for your login.
2. Log in more than once a day. Some teacher's virtual periods are later than others. They might not all post at 8:00 a.m. We recommend logging in one time in the morning, one time mid-day, and once in the late afternoon as an example to be sure that you won't miss anything.
3. Remember to email your teachers or send them a message through Schoology if you don't understand something in that class.
4. If you have any technical difficulties, email Ms. Carver (pcarver@dewittdragons.net) or Mrs. Rachel Mitchell (rmitchell@dewittdragons.net). Please don't text or Facebook message them. They may not see it, and then you won't get the help you need.
5. Be sure that you READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS that are included with your work and links to work. You also need to be sure that if a teacher is asking you to participate in roll call on a discussion board that you do this each day. If you aren't checking in, you are getting counted absent for that day and you aren't receiving credit for that work.
6. Lastly, please remember to speak properly when you are emailing other students and teachers as well as when you are in group discussion boards. Things like: LOL, WAZZUP, etc. are okay when talking on social media like SnapChat and TikTok, but they aren't appropriate when completing school work.
We hope that you are doing well.

The Junior High game scheduled for tomorrow against Clarendon has been cancelled because of low numbers in their junior high. We will kick off the season against Barton September 3rd! Go Dragons!

Dragon Academy Students & Parents:
We realize that there may be some kinks as we kick this new way of learning into high gear.
Some of you have reached out and told us that your child can't see their classes, etc. Tomorrow, we are hopeful that all classes will be visible to your student. The courses aren't scheduled to begin until then.
When you encounter a technical issue with your device or you Schoology account, please reach out to our point of contact, Ms. Pam Carver, pcarver@dewittdragons.net. She will send the request to the appropriate person who will help you.
If it is a subject matter/class question, you may email your child's teacher. A list of staff emails are available at our website: www.dewittdragons.net.
We kindly ask that you avoid reaching out to staff via text or Facebook. Reaching out to us using many medias makes it very hard to keep up with. We don't want to miss responding to anyone. We will check our emails regularly, and will give you a response within 24 hours. Please respect that we may not respond right away because we are teaching in the classrooms.

Dragon Academy Virtual Students:
Remember, you can login to Schoology by going to:
dewitt.schoology.com
You will have to use your school email and your password that was provided to you when you picked up your device.
If you have any issues with logging in or seeing classes, email:
rmitchell@dewittdragons.net, pcarver@dewittdragons.net, or cbarnett@dewittdragons.net. We will work to resolve your issues ASAP.
Have a great 1st week of learning!
