Students will be sporting a new accessory this year. They will be wearing masks in all areas when they cannot socially distance.
Due to the Governor's Mask Mandate, DMS will be enforcing the wearing of masks. All staff and students are expected to wear their mask when socially distancing isn't possible. If a student refuses to wear a mask, they may be subject to disciplinary action. Any student that can't wear a mask due to a medical condition should bring documentation that a medical professional advises that he/she be exempt from wearing the mask. Parents, we ask that you send a mask with your child on the first day of school. Our district will be giving all students an additional mask on that day as well. They can add this to their stash of mask choices! DMS has ordered lanyards to attach to their masks too.
We ask that you wash your students mask on a regular basis. Thank you for helping us all stay safe & well!
