Students at DES have been working hard to learn and play different types of instruments in Mrs. Casi’s Music Classroom. The video you will see shows Mrs. Mary and Mrs. Lacee's 5th Grade students play through the popular song, “Mary Had a Little Lamb” on the Recorders. The high spirits of Ms. Jody's 4th Graders are also represented as they play through their first recognizable song, “Three Blind Mice” on the Ukuleles.
In the past, students have also learned how to play other musical instruments such as the glockenspiels, hand bells and jingle bells, sound shape drums, and boomwhackers (pitched percussion tubes that create sound when struck on another surface). Mrs. Casi plans to continue adding different types of quality instruments to her classroom inventory to create a long lasting tradition of musical excellence for future students of DES!
