This week, Ms. Quartisha’s 3rd grade class are studying how light and matter interact. In this activity, the light hits the solid particles in the milk and scatters. The light is blue at right angles to the flashlight because it is more scattered. The students also had a great time finding ways to make the water and milk combination appear different colors!
